The Hidden Message
Heineken

In gigs, the most visible thing isn’t the artist - but a sea of smartphones.
Now, I haven’t been to gigs in the 1900s, but they sure sound more fun.

Heineken’s Hidden Message is the first billboard invisible to the eye, but visible by phone cameras.

Using infrared light (the same as the ones inside your TV remote at home), the system created an invisible-to-the-eye display, visible only when viewed through the phone’s camera - directly through your regular camera app, without needing to download external apps or webapps in a first-of-its-kind REAL agumented reality experiment.

A panel equipped by several custom made infrared illuminators displayed a message urging concertgoers to get off their phones and onto a good time.

***If you’ve reached this point of the description and haven’t understood anything of the tech, I promise it was cool and the producers wanted to kill us which is always a good sign.***

Not in the edit but in my portfolio at least.
Grazie Mauro grazie Vitto for your sleepless mezcal nights <3
